MGIT Shines at AI Days 2025 – Largest AI Conference Held at Tech Mahindra, Hyderabad

Swecha Foundation successfully organized AI Hack Day 2025, a multi-domain hackathon competition featuring over 120 real-world problems in areas such as Art, Music, Video, Agriculture, Education, Healthcare, Gaming, and Storytelling. The event began with the preliminary round held on 25th January 2024, where 72 teams from MGIT participated.

We are proud to announce that 21 MGIT teams were shortlisted as finalists for the AI Days 2025 – International Conference, held on 12th and 13th April 2025 at Tech Mahindra, Hitech City, Hyderabad. These finalist teams competed in the final round and are now being offered internship opportunities by top industries.

Among the finalists, two MGIT teams emerged as winners:

The event witnessed participation from over 1500 students and professionals, making it one of the largest AI gatherings in the region. Eminent speakers such as IAS Officer Mr. Bhavesh Mishra (Deputy Secretary, IT and Electronics Department, Govt. of Telangana), Dr. Pratap Reddy, and Dr. Ramesh inspired the audience with insights into the future of AI in governance and industry. Mr. Bhavesh Mishra also emphasized the Telangana Government’s initiatives and funding opportunities in AI and the state’s collaboration with IIT Hyderabad for implementing AI-driven governance.

Dr. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy, Principal, MGIT, visited the conference and encouraged the finalist teams, expressing gratitude to the MGIT Management for their support. Prof. K. Sudhakar Reddy, Vice Principal, congratulated the students on their exceptional performance.

The success of MGIT’s participation was made possible through the dedicated mentorship of Dr. T. V. Rajinikanth, Professor & MGIT-Swecha SPOC, who guided the teams throughout the competition. Dr. Shyam, faculty member, also accompanied the students to the event.

Adding further pride to MGIT, Mr. Sudharshan, PG alumnus of MGIT, was invited as a guest speaker, delivering a session on “Prompt Engineering” during the conference.
